Installing the Kinect For Use With Unity in Windows

Hello everyone. Just a short video to walk you through installing and configuring the Microsoft Kinect. This video will get the Kinect working with the Unity Game Engine in Windows 7 (and maybe earlier, but that is untested).

Foray Into Unity3D

Hello everyone. I am mostly posting this here because I would like to access the file remotely (which is why this will be a silly, short, mostly pointless post). I followed the Simple 2D Shooter tutorial over at 3DBuzz.com and then added my own modifications. Things I added:

  • Double lasers on the ships
  • A hive object that spawned multiple asteroids
  • A scaling difficulty level based on the time (watch what happens of you wait too long)
